Make a Contribution to the Zambia Draft Constitution The Children in Need Network is calling on all its members and partners to make a contribution to the draft constitution which has currently been released by the NCC. CHIN recognizes that the constitution making process is crucial for child protection and survival hence the need for all stakeholders to take part. Members wishing to make their contribution through CHIN are welcome to drop their submissions at CHIN secretariat. You can also to email or post contributions to CHIN. Download Draft Constitution Government and Donor Resource Tracking Commences CHIN is under its OVC resource tracking project conducting a study to track Government and Donor resources for orphans and donor resources in Zambia under the following thematic areas :
The study seeks to collect resource commitments and pledges for OVCs programmes mainly supported by Government, PEPFAR and Global Funds in Central, Lusaka, Copperbelt, Northen and and Luapula provinces of Zambia. the report on the findings will be used to enhance advocacy that will inform critical policy strategy, service delivery priorities and related systems improvements. Data collection for the project has already started and almost all the 5 provinces have been covered. |

LAW REFORM BRIEF Zambia is signatory to a number of international instruments addressing child sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation of children, child trafficking and child pornography. These are all encompassed in the Convention on the Rights of the Child which is a complete document containing the rights of children. CHIN has produced a brief discussing the challenges in the Zambian legal system and laws in addressing sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation of children. The brief also discusses international standards and practice in addressing sexual abuse and commercial sexual exploitation of children. |
